Routine Referrals

We welcome referrals via fax or letter. We triage patients according to urgency as stated in your referrals. Please do call us if you have urgent concerns regarding your patients so we can arrange a timely appointment.

Urgent Referrals

We aim to fit in any urgent referrals. Please help us optimise their care and call us with their clinical indication on (02) 9874 2432 during business hours (8 am – 4.30pm Mon-Thurs, 8 am – 12.30pm Fri) to arrange an urgent appointment.

Problems which may require our urgent attention may include:

• Acute otitis externa
• Sudden hearing loss
• Foreign bodies in the ear, nose or throat
• Epistaxis
• Suspected head and neck malignancies
• Thyroid cancers
• Acute facial nerve palsy

We may also recommend referral to emergency for urgent reviews for the following:

• Severe epistaxis
• Airway or breathing problems
• Post-tonsillectomy bleeding
• Periorbital cellulitis
• Acute mastoiditis
• Patients who may need admission and intravenous antibiotics
